DNT Construction

A Civil Construction company specializing in excavation and grading gets a complete and total facelift. Grey flannel shades grace the windows and doors of this mostly masculine place of business.   A new exterior sign was created to exemplify the solidity of this grade A company. The exterior was painted in colors that represent the...

One of my favorite things to do for a client occurs at the end of the project - when the remodel work is completed and the walls are painted and the draperies are hung. The various trades have packed their bags and moved on to the next project. It is quiet and it is clean. Now I get to bring in the area rugs and the furniture and place them. I get into an almost trancelike state making things orderly and right again. I tug and pull until the furniture looks right, feels right. I look from several various angles then pull and tug again. Once the layout is perfect I bring out all of the accessories. I line a large table with them and then begin to selectively line the hutches and cabinets with lovely crystal and porcelain pieces. Tabletops get candles and bowls with unique features and other lovely things that catch my eye. It is fun when a little area, previously overlooked, takes on new importance because a little bit of magic happens and a charming little vignette is created!

A Handsome New Exterior Paint Scheme for a Bachelor’s Pad

A bachelor's pad in much need of a new exterior painting scheme gets two handsome options.  Which one do you think was selected? After this home was painted, it was great fun to receive the Benjamin Moore list of their top 100 colors -  Kendall Charcoal was listed as the favorite dark gray hue! I...

Bright Sparkling Gem of a Guest Bath

Dark, dated and windowless bathroom to turn into a bright, sparkling gem! First of all, drawings are so important! Every time I go over to this job site, I have this drawing in hand, the contractor has this drawing in hand and the sub has this drawing in hand - along with the Reflective Ceiling...

Pinch Pleated Perfection

Pinch Pleated Perfection Pretty little three finger pleats all lined up in a row like little toy soldiers, perfectly uniform, perfectly timeless, perfectly crisp! Dramatic and tailored, these drapery panels are finished off at the top with a pinch pleat method that gathers the fabric and spaces the pleats evenly apart.   Finished off at...

Pemberton Heights Colonial

A 1920's Colonial home with beautiful bones in the lovely Pemberton Heights Area receives a much-deserved refinement both inside and out.  To enhance the grand scale of the rooms and to unite the rooms, a  palette of neutral colors was created. A rich, warm white was chosen for the exterior wood siding  and for all...
